Tracy Ann (Clifford) Austin, 52, of 13 Phillips Street, passed peacefully on Tuesday morning, November 15, 2016 at the Poet Seat Health Care Center, Greenfield, MA, following a period of declining health.
A native of Rutland, VT, she was born on April 30, 1964 to Richard and Carole (Brown) Clifford.  Tracy attended Rutland Public Schools and was a graduate of Rutland High School in the Class of 1982.  Tracy was a creative and accomplished baker, having worked previously for Mother’s Myrick’s Confectionary and Bakery in Manchester, VT, and for the Everglades Club and Resort in Palm Beach, FL, as well as the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, VT.  Tracy was a voracious reader and loved to write and enjoyed photography. She also loved animals and was an advocate for their rights and humane treatment. 
She married Eric S. Austin on November 4, 2000 in Rutland, VT and recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.  They were blessed with two loving and wonderful children: Lexy G. their daughter and Brendan S. their son.   Additionally she leaves her mother, Carole Brown-Clifford of Rutland, VT, her sister Kelly Johnson-Gottier and her husband Ron, of Rutland, VT, her brother John Proctor and his wife Peggy, of Lunenberg, MA, as well as her beloved nieces: Briana and Elliot, and by her Aunts: Lorna Chase and her husband “Mick” of Cookeville, TN; Jean Clifford and Rose Marie “Tip” Clifford of Rutland, VT and her Uncle Richard Brown and his wife Margaret, of Manchester, NH and many cousins, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Tom and Beth Austin of Rutland, VT.  She was predeceased by her father Richard. 
In keeping with Tracy’s request for simplicity, there will be no formal funeral services or visiting hours.  A life celebration will take place at a date, time and place to be announced, with inurnment following cremation in the Evergreen Cemetery,  Rutland, VT.  Expressions of affection in the form of a charitable contribution in her memory, are suggested to your local library or animal shelter.
