Shirley May Maher, 68, of Madison, died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at UVA Culpeper Hospital. She was born December 26, 1945 in Bernardston, MA to the late Earl and Genevieve Skop Hale.
She is survived by her children, Michael Maher and his wife, Doreen, Colleen Maher Church and her husband, Timothy, Darlene Maher Shaffer and her husband, Craig, Maureen Maher Hogan and her husband, David and Robert Maher and his wife, Kristin; and her longtime companion, Charles Corbin.
Additional survivors include five siblings: Carol Knightly, Linda Courtemanche, Beverly Bird, Gerald Hale and Judi Chamberlin; six grandchildren: Tyler, Anthony, Brody, Baylee, Grace and Clare.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Manzer.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 10 to 11:30 AM at McCarthy Funeral Home, 36 Bank Row, Greenfield, MA 01301.  Rev. Stacy Kullgren, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Greenfield will offer a remembrance prayer service at 11:30AM.  Following the services, a reception will follow at the Greenfield Moose Club.
