Hadley, MassachusettsRaymond Francis Bender, 79, passed peacefully on Monday evening, May 23, 2016, at home in the company of his beloved companion and caregiver, Mary E. Pelis, following a period of declining health. It was Ray’s wish, that the following be shared upon his passing…. “Except for the occasional sad moments that turn up in the normal course of living, I very much enjoyed my life, owing in large part to my love and constant companion Mary. In parting, I wish all of my friends and their families to be well and be happy and for myself, in the words of the writer John Dryden, I wish only to “Let tomorrow do its worst, for I have Liv’d today”.
