Patricia Ann Juskiewicz

Patricia Ann Juskiewicz – October 29, 1929 – July 30, 2014
Pat was born in Greenfield, MA, to Stanley and Esther E. (Lively) Juskiewicz.  She attended Greenfield Public Schools and was graduate of Greenfield High School. She moved to Boston, MA and obtained her Registered Nursing degree.  For many years, she was a nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital. Some years later, she worked as a visiting nurse in Golden. CO., where on many weekends she taught her nephews how to ski and inspired them to have an active lifestyle.
Many years later, she returned to college for a degree in Physical Education and moved to Montpelier, VT, to teach skiing and PE classes, before returning to Greenfield to care for her ailing parents.  Pat is survived by her nephews – Stanley Justice of Alaska, and Dean Justice of Oregon, in addition to several grand nieces and grand nephews. 
She leaves behind in Greenfield, many who have given her much joy and untold time:  Erik W. Doolittle, Gerald Lively, Robert Michaud and other members of the community.  She was predeceased by her brother Francis Juskiewicz, as well as by her nephews Arthur and Douglas Justice. Pat was the “go to” person in the lives of her nephews.  She was known for her love of her “home town” Greenfield, her sense of humor, love of books, keen interest in the Red Sox, love of cats and for being a staunch Democrat.
Private services and burial were observed in the West Branch Cemetery, on Saturday, August 2, 2014, with Rev. Fr. Tony Cullen, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church, Shelburne Falls, MA, who officiated the Catholic Rite of Burial Service. Gerald Lively performed an acappella rendition of the hymn Precious Lord.  Friends and family from as far away as Connecticut were in attendance.  Charitable contributions are suggested to either the Dakin Humane Society, P.O.
