Greenfield, Massachusetts
Olga (Sansone) Kazakiewich, 100, formerly of 25 C, Elm Terrace Apartments and the Arbors of Greenfield, passed peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility, 130 Colrain Road, following a period of declining health.
A native of Oak Park, Illinois, born on October 16, 1920 to Adeline (Monaco) and Robert Sansone, she was educated in local public schools, graduating from Steimnetz High School in Chicago, Illinois In the Class of 1939.
Olga married Anthony P. Kazakiewich on November 18, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. They relocated to Greenfield, MA, where Olga was employed by the Greenfield Tap & Die Corporation from 1946-1949, then Eastern Textile from 1962 - 1970, lastly accepting a secretarial position with J. H. Smith from 1970 until her retirement in 1984.
Olga worshipped at the Episcopal Church of St. James and Andrew, Greenfield, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony on December 22, 1970, following 25 years of marriage. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Linda Ann Walker and her husband Richard, of Merrimack, NH, Robert A and his wife Carole, of Claremont, NH and Roger A. and his wife Valerie, of Florence, MA. Additionally, she leaves 4 adoring grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Olga was predeceased by her husband Anthony, as well as her siblings Mollie Cluth (Bob), Jack, Robert and Henry Sansone.
In keeping with Olga's wishes for simplicity, a private graveside committal service will be held at the convenience of her family, in the Green River Cemetery, Greenfield, MA in the spring. Rev. Heather Blais, Rector of the Episcopal Church of St. James and Andrew will officiate. At Olga's request, expressions of one's affection in her memory are encouraged in the form of a donation to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma, OK 73123 or at www.cancersociety.org.
