Margaret E. (Dorman) Martin

Margaret E. (Dorman) Johnson Martin, 95, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility.
 
Born on November 4, 1927 in Bennington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Otis A. Dorman and Daisy E. (Hewitt) Dorman. Margaret attended North Bennington and Williamstown schools and graduated in 1948 from Franklin County Public Hospital School of Nursing. She married Alan R. Johnson on June 4, 1949 and lived in Greenfield for the rest of her life.
 
Margaret worked as a Private Duty Nurse and later as a Charge Nurse at Franklin Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a member of the John F. Harrington Post #417 Auxiliary. She married Leon A. Martin on May 27, 2006. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and cake decorating.  She also was an avid animal lover and bird watcher. Margaret was a member of the 2nd Congregational Church of Greenfield.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Charon Masoero of Attleboro; her son, Carl Johnson and his wife, Janice, of Wendell; her grandaughters: Lori Johnson, Bethaney Johnson, Crystal Johnson and Heather Johnson and her grandsons: Adam Johnson and Joshua Slysz, in addition to six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret is predeceased by her husbands, Alan Johnson (2003) and Leon Martin (2009); her brother Richard Dorman, her son, Dennis Johnson and her son-in law, Jerry Masoero.
 
The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and aides at Charlene Manor for the care and compassion given to Margaret. Private funeral services will be held with interment to take place in the North Meadow Cemetery, Greenfield, MA at the convenience of her family.
