Mae Robinson Obituary

Mae Louise Robinson, 77, passed peacefully with loving family at her side, at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA on Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born in North Adams, MA on September 30, 1945 to Elsie Louise (Hildreth) and Roland Richard Robinson.

She was educated in Deerfield Public Schools and was a graduate of Frontier Regional High School. Mae furthered her education by attending Greenfield Community College.

She was employed as a legal assistant, for the Law Firm of Callahan, Curtiss, Carey, and Gates. Later, she accepted a position at GCC in the Natural Science Department as assistant to the Office of the President of the College and lastly, was employed by the University of Massachusetts in Amherst,working as a library assistant retiring in 2012.

Mae enjoyed many interests that included, bird watching, word puzzles, computer games and visiting her favorite destination, Cape Cod. She leaves her three children to remember her with love and affection – Douglas Tennyson and his partner, Kathi Hinrich, of Collins, Missouri , Deahenn "Nan" Jarvis and her husband, Daniel, of Millers Falls, MA and Jill Smith and her husband, Mark, of Erving, MA. Additionally, she leaves her adoring grandchildren – Zach Tennyson (Kate), Ben Tennyson (Terryn), Kyle Jarvis, Amanda Garey, as well great grandchildren Adeline, Abram, Nova Tennyson and Isabella Wade. Mae is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Patricia Moos, Charlotte Reid and Sandy Robinson, as well as several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Mae leaves additionally, her close friend of many years, Judy Kennedy.

At Mae's request for simplicity, she will be cremated and will be reunited with her favorite places on Cape Cod by her family in the Spring / Summer of 2023. Expressions of affection in her memory are suggested, to the Greenfield Community College Foundation, #1 College Drive, Greenfield, MA 01301.
