Juanita L. Cole

Juanita L. (Plumb) Barnes Cole, 67, of 59 Center Road, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, April 21, 2016, following a period of declining health.  A native of Brattleboro, VT, she was born on January 30, 1949 to Raymond S. and Mary E. (Noyes) Plumb. 
As a young child, she moved with her family to Greenfield where she attended public schools.  Juanita worked for the former Farren Memorial Hospital, the former WESCO Electric Company and lastly, at Pella Windows in the business office as an administrative assistant.
Juanita’s interests included knitting, drawing, vegetable and flower gardening to name a few.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, in particular with her grandson Branden playing spirited games of badminton.  She was a fan of the late Elvis Presley.   She was married previously to Warren C. Barnes of CT., and Christopher Cole of MA. 
Juanita will be remembered by her daughters; Tracy J. Chapin and her boyfriend Allen Rounds, as well as Kim S. Spaulding and her husband Gerry.  Additionally, she is survived by her grandson Branden Chapin, her sister Rochelle Gallagher of Maine, her two former husbands and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.  She also leaves her sister-in-law Jody Plumb of North Adams, MA, wife of the late Keith Plumb, as well as her brother-in-law Terry Bucci, of Erving, MA, husband of the late Nancy Bucci.
A celebration of Juanita’s life and many gifts, will be observed  on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from the McCarthy Funeral Homes, 36 Bank Row, Greenfield, MA at 10:00 AM.  There will be a period of visitation from 9:30 until the time of a service. Inurnment following cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Brick Cemetery, Colrain, MA.  Visiting hours are omitted.  Expressions of affection in the form of a charitable donation in Juanita’s memory, are suggested in lieu of flowers to the charity of the donor’s choice.
