He was preceded to heaven by his mother Genevieve Murray/Hauser, son Dylan and his two sisters Patricia Kelley and Mae(Tini) Langworthy. He is survived by son Eric Brown, grandchildren Jack and Colin and by his sisters Maggie Kelley and Donna Jean Morrow. To his friends and family, he was loyal and always quick with a joke. He would do anything for his children. He will be missed.

Born May 6th, 1942 in Orange, NJ, the youngest of five siblings. He had four sisters Pat, Jean, Tini, & Maggie.  He graduated from Manasquan High school in 1961 and that same year, joined the Marine Corps.  He served three years as a heavy equipment operator in Beaufort, SC and was honorably discharged in 1964.

He graduated from the University of Miami in 1971 with a degree in Humanistic Psychology.

During his life he worked as a counselor in a school for troubled boys, owned a pizza shop, worked as a custodian and most notably, self employed as a house painter, the job he did for most of his working life.

While he often referred to himself as a Gypsy, moving from place to place, but he spent the majority of his years not far from where he grew up near the Jersey shore. Besides NJ, he lived in Miami, FL, Worcester, MA and Hardwick, VT.  Finally settling in Greenfield, MA in 2005.

He had an artistic spirit and dabbled with drawing and song writing.  He loved spending time with friends and watching scary movies. From a Song my father wrote: "Don't hog this train seat, 'cause it's going to heaven. Unless you want to be my partner, get off or go to hell, 'cause I'm Heaven bound." Memorial contributions are suggested in his memory to the USO.
