Donald (Donnie) W. Boron, 73 passed away on Friday January 14, 2022 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center Greenfield. He was born in Greenfield, MA on October 21,1948, the son of Stanley and Elsie (Burkhardt) Boron. As a young child Donald’s love for athletics was well known. He played Little League and Pony League baseball, continuing on into High School where he played Football, Basketball and Baseball. He graduated from Greenfield High School in the Class of 1967.
After graduation, Donald worked for a local bowling alley and this gave him a chance to travel, living in both New York and Colorado before returning to Massachusetts. He worked for the local railroad, while in the winter he was a ski instructor at Berkshire East, followed by Greenfield Supply and Gettens Electric, from where he medically retired in 2009.
Donald during his lifetime was an active skier, softball player. He loved the peacefulness of fishing and was an avid golfer. You could always find him enjoying a round of golf at Greenfield Country Club.
Among his survivors, Donald leaves a daughter, Jennifer Kamaris and her husband Keith,; three grandchildren: Aidan, Landon and Sophia Kamaris, a sister Judith Arra, a brother James Boron and his wife Pat and several nieces,
