Turners Falls, MassachusettsMemorial services in remembrance of David A. Kuklewicz, 58, of 22 Worcester Avenue, who died unexpectedly on Thursday evening, August 2, 2018 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield, MA, will be observed on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Harmony Masonic Lodge, 20 Masonic Avenue, Turners Falls, MA, with a Masonic Evergreen service to begin at 2:00PM. All are invited to attend this celebration of David’s life and his many gifts. “Here on earth it feels like everything good is missing since you left, everything is different…there is such emptiness. I hope the Angels know what they have gained since you arrived." David A. Kuklewicz, 57, of 22 Worcester Avenue, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield, MA. He was born in Greenfield, MA on December 31, 1960 to Marion Rose (Olanyk) and Henry George Kuklewicz. He was educated in Montague Public Schools and Franklin County Technical School. David, in his youth, was an altar boy at the former St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Turners Falls, MA, now known as Our Lady of Peace Church. He began a career driving truck at the early age of 17, a career spanning forty years. He operated his own company for many years, logging hundreds of thousands of miles crisscrossing the United States at a job he loved. He recently worked for several local companies, including Patterson Farm at the time of his passing. David adopted a special needs class in Upstate New York, where he interacted with the students from the road, providing them with mathematical problems and geography questions to solve. He was awarded the “Trucker Buddy” of the month in October of 2011 for his efforts in educating the children. David was very active in the Masonic Lodge. He was a member and past Master of the Harmony Lodge AF & AM in Turners Falls, MA, as well as a member of the Sugar Loaf Lodge of AF & AM, Mountain Lodge of AF & AM. His mentor in Masonry, was the late Dan Morgan, his masonic brother and close friend. He was a member of the Melha Shrine and was a multi award winning clown known as “Joey” within the Shrine Clown Unit. He received “Clown of the Year” in 2014 and in 2015, he received first place in the Auguste Clown Competition at the North Clown Institute, where he earned the degree of Craftsman Clown. David’s clown mentor and cohort, was Jonathan George, alias “Dimples” the clown. Joey and Dimple's antics, brought much joy, smiles and laughter to children of all ages.
David leaves his devoted and loving wife of 30 years, Tammy, as well as his daughter Tasha Monette-Hand and his grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Andrew, Tiffany and Tristan of FL. Additionally, he leaves his siblings: John, Richard (Linda), Susan and Tracey (Gary) as well as several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also remembered with great affection by his closest friends that became family, Mary Lou Hall and her husband Ralph, with whom they shared many a ride on their Harley Davidson motorcycles going “up country” on adventures. He adored his dogs Rowdy, Brodie and Bellaboo, as well as his canine niece and nephew, Maaya and Mac. He will forever be remembered for his gentle nature, his enduring kindness in helping others without exception, whether they were family, friends, neighbors or complete strangers. He was a man of honor and integrity, with a gentle loving soul. A Masonic Evergreen service will be observed on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2:00PM, at the Harmony Lodge, 20 Masonic Avenue, Turners Falls, MA, to be lead cooperatively by David’s friends WOR Jonathan George as Master of Ceremonies, WOR Richard Wedegartner and WOR Martin Glazier as Chaplains, as well as WOR Keith Kapise as Marshall. As white roses were David’s favorite, those wishing to attend are encouraged to bring a single white rose in his memory. Expressions in lieu of flowers are suggested to the David A.
