Clifton Deome Obituary

Greenfield, Massachusetts
Clifton Michael Deome, 49, of 26 Raymond Road, passed peacefully on Friday morning, October 16, 2015 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, with loving members of his family at his side following a period of declining health.
A native of Claremont, NH, he was born on November 22, 1965 to Susan B. Thurlow.  Cliff was employed by the Incentive Community Enterprises as an assembler.
Cliff enjoyed many interests that included: watching television and movies, talking on the telephone to keep in touch with family and friends, visiting the public library. (As he was a voracious reader) He was an animal lover, especially dogs. He had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed creative writing. He wrote of his personal life experiences and was fond of the quote “Don’t forget as a writer, to always write from the heart”. A resident of a group community under the auspices of Service Net, Cliff could be found on many occasions providing a power point presentation on self-advocacy and respect for others.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother Susan B. Thurlow, of Turners Falls, MA.  Additionally by his siblings: Vicki L. Miller of Orange, MA; Cindy A. Sullivan and her husband Patrick, of Westfield, MA and Rick Deome and his wife Kimberly, of Springfield, MA.  Cliff is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews who include: Megan Miller, Shayna and Riley Sullivan and Devin Deome, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins who remember him with affection.  He also leaves his adopted father, Arthur R. Deome of North Brookfield, MA.
A celebration of life service will be observed on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from the McCarthy Funeral Homes, 14 Prospect Street, Turners Falls, MA at 11:00AM.  Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of the services.
Expressions of affection in the form of a charitable gesture in Cliff’s memory are suggested to the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, 402 Main Street, Greenfield, MA 01301 or to the Friends of the Franklin Regional Dog Shelter, 10 Sandy Lane, Turners Falls, MA 01376.
