Atty. Charles P. Amyot, age 87, formerly of 10 Congress St., passed away on June 22, 2024 at Regal Care at Greenfield.
He was born in 1937 in Manchester, N.H. the son of Omer and Gilberte (Boivin) Amyot. He was a graduate of the former Assumption Prep in Worcester, University of N.H. (with honors) and Boston University School of Law.
He practiced law initially at Sheehan, Phinney & Bass in Manchester, N.H. before accepting the post of Executive Secretary of the N. H. Public Utilities Commission and later as General Counsel to the Dept. of Public Utilities in Boston. He was also active in arbitration work prior to his retirement.
Charles is survived by his brothers Paul (wife Nicole) of Kensington, Md., Robert (wife Louise) of Greenfield, sisters Judith Russaouën of Dorval, P.Q., and Madeleine (husband Emilio)Sanchez-Santiago of Mexico City, and several cousins, nieces and one nephew. Charles was predeceased by his parents and his brother Gilbert.
