Audrey graduated with honors from Tufts University celebrating her 75th Reunion this year. She retired as a vocational counselor for the department of Massachusetts Employment and Training, was an ESL instructor at Greenfield Community College (MA) and a historical guide at Old Deerfield (MA) into her 90’s. Audrey was a long standing (58 years) member of the Second Congregational Church, Greenfield MA, involved in the church ministry as a minister’s wife, Sunday School superintendent and teacher, Flower Fund supervisor, Church World Service (One Great Hour of Sharing) and (Centering Prayer) and the United Church Board for World Ministries. She was a SCC honorary tea pourer, too! In her later years, Audrey was fortunate to have a special neighborhood friend in Frank Bush, Greenfield MA. Both in their 90’s they enjoyed ballroom dancing, travel and a great companionship.

She was a champion for world, community and family peace, devoted to her family and church friends, committed to hard work, had a strong faith and volunteered at the BayState Franklin Medical gift shop (60+ years). She loved hosting 4th of July celebrations, gardening, watching her hummingbirds, walking, tennis and swimming. She could be found watching tennis matches and Jeopardy even weeks before her passing.

The family is indebted to KIZ Helping Hands and Pioneer Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, both from Greenfield MA for their wonderful care and support given to our Mom and her family. Audrey will be laid to rest at the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge MA later in June surrounded by her immediate family. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Second Congregational Church,16 Court Square, Greenfield MA.
