Turners Falls, MassachusettsArlene (Kellyhouse) Lemay, 87, of Fairway Avenue, died Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She was born in Colrain, Massachusetts (Griswoldville Village) on August 8, 1927 the daughter of Harvey and Bertha (Thompson) Kellyhouse. She attended school in Turners Falls, Massachusetts.Arlene worked diligently at the Turners Falls Rod Shop and retired from Judd Wire Company as a supervisor after 30 plus years of service.Arlene loved to spend time with her family. Often, fondly speaking of family get-togethers and vacations. She had an incredible recollection of her younger days and would often reflect on those days with great joy. She was a generous and compassionate soul who was always willing to lend a listening ear.Among her survivors, Arlene leaves a son, Gary and his wife Denise of South Deerfield, her daughter Debra of Turners Falls, as well as four grandchildren, Joshua Lemay, Nicolas Lemay, Megan Pervere and Nathan Pervere. She also leaves behind two sisters, Catherine Berry and Jean Goldthwaite. Arlene also leaves one great grandchild, Farrah Lemay, as well as many nieces and nephews.Arlene was predeceased by her daughter, Laurie, her brothers, Harvey and Kenneth Kellyhouse, and her sister Barbara Berry.Services in celebration of Arlene’s life, will be observed at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Stanley J. Aksamit, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Rites of committal and inurnment will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Turners Falls, MA. Visiting hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers, expressions of affection are encouraged in the form of a charitable donation in Arlene’s memory to Dakin Human Society, P.O. Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01001.
