Alice B. (Bourdeau) Fisk, 98, a resident of the Buckley Health Care Center, Greenfield, MA and formerly a longtime resident of Montague Center, MA, passed peacefully on Sunday morning, August 27, 2017 following a period of declining health.
A native of Montague, Massachusetts, she was born in Montague City MA on March 13, 1919 to Alfred and Anna (Hugo) Bourdeau.   She attended North Adams Public Schools through the 7th grade, moving to Greenfield, MA in 1931, where she graduated from Greenfield High School in the Class of 1936.  She married Harry J. Fisk on August 2, 1937 and they resided in Montague Center, MA for many years.  She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years on September 1, 1997. Alice and Harry had moved to Greenfield, MA, prior to his death residing at the Reed Apartments and later Alice moved to the Weldon House Apartments, She entered the Buckley Health Care Center in February 2016 and greatly enjoyed the many activities and sociability they offer.
Alice was a teacher’s aide for many years in the Montague Public School System. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Montague and was a member of the Ladies Benevolent Society of the church. Alice was a member of the Montague Grange, Connecticut Valley Pomona State Grange and the National Grange.  She was also a member of the Montague Historical Society, and was for several years a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.  Alice enjoyed knitting and crocheting, gifting many of her beautiful handiwork to her church, Baystate Franklin Medical Center and other local charitable organizations.  
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Suzanne Smith of New Bern NC, Peter Fisk and wife Nancy of Scarborough ME, Katye Wissmann and husband Fred of Greenfield MA, Paul Fisk and wife Kathryn of Princeton MA and Mark Fisk and wife Ann of Montague MA.  She leaves 8 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
A celebration of Alice’s life will be held with a reception in Fellowship Hall at the Congregational Church in Montague Center MA from 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday August 30, 2017. The family welcomes you to share your memories of their Mother. Private graveside services will be observed at the convenience of the family.
