Alexander J. Dorey, 80, of 46 Plum Tree Lane, passed peacefully on Saturday evening, December 5, 2015 at home in the company of his loving family following a period of declining health. 
Private graveside services will take place in the Green River Cemetery, Greenfield, MA. Full military honors will be observed, with members of the 54th Massachusetts Army National Guard in attendance, assisted by the Hale-Clapp VFW Post #3295 of South Deerfield, MA.  Rev. Heather J. Blais, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church of Greenfield will officiate. 
Visiting hours are omitted.  Expressions of affection are suggested in lieu of flowers to the FCHCC,  c/o Meals on Wheels, 330 Montague City Road, Suite 1, Turners Falls, MA 01376.
