Adele Clark Obituary

Adele Elizabeth Clark, 83, passed Tuesday evening, July 22, 2025 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield, MA. A native of Boston, MA, she was born the daughter of Elizabeth M. Loving. She moved with her mother at a young age to reside in Greenfield, where she attended the former Holy Trinity Parochial School, Greenfield Public Schools and was a graduate of G.H.S. in the Class of 1959. She furthered her education by attending Greenfield Community College, with a focus in Business Accounting and Computers.

She was employed by the City of Greenfield in the School Department from 1970-1995, later for the former LaPierre's Appliance Store until 2003 and lastly for Lamore Lumber Company prior to her retirement. An avid golfer, Adele was a member of Thomas Memorial Golf and Country Club in Turners Falls, MA, and served as a former Director for many years. She was a long standing member of the Women's Golf League for many years. Adele was a former auxillary member of the Montague Lodge of Elks, B.P.O. E. #1296 in Turners Falls, MA. In her leisure, she enjoyed listening to Country Music, ceramics, reading and traveling to Hawaii.

Adele is lovingly remembered by her family, who include her two children: Judith Sorel and her husband Michael, of Greenfield, MA, and Jason E. Clark, Jr., and his spouse Timothy, of Haverhill, MA. Additionally, she leaves her loving grandson Edward A. Smith and his wife Sara, as well as her great grandchildren Christian, Zachary and Alexander Smith and one great-great grandchild Gianii Smith to remember her with affection.

Adele was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Smith, in addition to her step-father Carl Smith and by her former husband Jason E. Clark, Sr.

In keeping with Adele's request for simplicity, there will be no formal services. Following cremation, her remains will be scattered in the warm waters and sandy beach in Maui, Hawaii. Expressions of remembrance of Adele, are suggested to Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, 101 Munson Street, Suite 103, Greenfield, MA 01301 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60601.
