Our mission is to offer the finest selection of service available to our families...whether it is simple or elaborate, burial or cremation, or services in our home or yours.
The funeral has seen many changes in our society and faces many more, including new and more expressive ways of remembering one's life lived. The death of a family member or close friend is a significant time in our lives. When entrusted with the needs of the families we serve, our goal is to ensure that your family and loved ones are cared for with the utmost dignity and respect.
Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have concerning the funeral of a loved one-- be it a traditional funeral service, cremation or pre-planned funeral arrangements.
A traditional funeral is a service that is usually preceded by a visitation and viewing, followed by a funeral service and burial, entombment, or cremation. Traditions vary by religion and ethnic origin. McCarthy Funeral Home caters to all faiths. Funeral services are tailored to meet the preferences and expectations of the loved one's family and friends, as well as to the preordained desires of the deceased. They can be as personalized and unique as those for whom the service is arranged.
Cremation services include several choices and options for personalization and memorialization. These services may either precede or follow the actual cremation and often assist friends and relatives with the grieving process by providing an opportunity to pay their final respects. Services often include the following options:
Traditional visitation and services at the funeral home or alternate location, such as a church, with the cremation following
Private family viewing followed by religious or contemporary services and cremation
Private cremation and memorial services
Direct cremation without services
Funeral Directors On Call 24-Hours a Day
Our staff is available 24-hours a day to answer a call, whether it is at home or in a health care facility.
Our services extend to providing our families assistance with regard to filing for Veteran's, Social Security, and life insurance benefits. Additionally, we provide helpful check lists on support services available, things that need to be done after the funeral, etc. All deceased are memorialized by gifts made by our firm to the charity or faith community of the family's choosing.
Funeral Planning with Pre-Arrangement and Pre-Payment
Funeral pre-arrangement is not difficult, nor long in duration. Most of us know our preferences, yet neglect to share that information with loved ones. Pre-arranging a funeral can offer a lifetime of comfort to loved ones who typically remain guessing what the deceased would have wanted. Contact a member of our staff and we will make ourselves available to discuss pre-arranging and/or pre-payment.
We are experienced in arranging for transportation to or from the fifty states and foreign countries.
Pre-Planning and Pre-Funding
Funeral pre-planning is an important decision that offers a lifetime of comfort. Many folks in our community have taken this important step to provide the greatest gift of love for their families - the gift of not having to make all of the decisions on one of the worst days of their lives.
